Wayne and I are heading off to the Water For Gas workshop being put on by Salmon Valley Stewardship at the Nancy Cummings ranch this morning. I've been hearing about this technology for a long time now, and even have some friends who installed something in their cars. our friends ended up taking their unit out of their car because they had some sort of problem with it, but I am still hopeful that going to a workshop where we can see it put together in real life will make it possible for us to use this technology.
The idea seems pretty simple and has been around for a long time. Our mechanic says it's just a bunch of bull, but I'm still keeping an opened mind.
The basic story is this: water is converted to hydrogen by electricity (definitely doable) and then mixed with the gas as it goes into the engine. Hydrogen is a very small particle and hits the big fuel droplets of the gas, it cuts the liquid gas into smaller droplets. Now, the finer, hydrogen-enhanced mixture is capable of burning more thoroughly.
They say that it even cleans your engine and keeps your oil clean as it increases your gas mileage.
Stay tuned to the salmonidaho.com blog and we'll let you know how it turns out.
